My Hair Concerns
My mom is a hairstylist so I’ve had good haircare for the majority of my life. But there are some things that I definitely wanted to help when it came to my hair.
My hair is on the medium/thin side so I’d love thicker hair. I also want to reduce shedding. It feels like every move I make, my hair is falling out (just ask my shower drain).
One thing I’m not interested in growing my hair (I had hair almost down to my butt not long ago and chopped it off recently. I love it!). However, I’ve always been interested in using products that could help me increase the overall health of my hair.
The GRO Collection Review
The GRO Collection is meant for one main thing: strengthening. When your hair is strong, it not only helps prevent breakage but also helps create thicker strands, making your hair look full and voluminous.
In the GRO collection, you’ll find a number of products including hair serum ($49), shampoo and conditioner ($76 for both ), and a detoxing serum ($36) which I’ll be reviewing below. There are also other products including biotin gummies ($30), dry shampoo ($32), hair foam ($48), and much more!
The GRO Products
Before we get into the functions and results of each product, I want to mention how much I love the packaging of these products. The pink and gold packaging acts more as decor to your bathroom as opposed to simply a hair product. 10/10!
GRO Shampoo and Conditioner
The first product I’m going to review is the revitalizing shampoo and conditioner set. These products help cleanse your hair while strengthening it. I’m someone with extremely oily hair, so I was a little worried it wouldn’t be as cleansing as I’m used to. But every time I used this combo, I left the shower with extremely clean hair.
One thing I love about this shampoo and conditioner is the consistency of the product. It’s quite thick, which makes it easier to distribute onto your hair without worrying about it being too liquidy.
Plus, I can’t forget about the scent! The GRO shampoo and conditioner smell like candy (do not eat it lol) but I love the sweet smell as opposed to other shampoos and conditioners which smell, well, just like that. Shampoos and conditioners.
The Results: After using the shampoo and conditioner for a month, my hair feels a touch thicker and stronger. It’s advised to use this product for at least 90 days to see results, but considering I’ve only been using it for a few weeks, I have seen great results. I’ve noticed I’m shedding way less (which was a huge problem for me). Plus, my hair smells amazing throughout the day which is a win in my book.
GRO Hair Serum
This was the one product I was super excited to use. I have a section of my hairline that has always struggled growing hair past “baby hair”. This serum is easy to apply and smells great. It’s liquidy but you can still control where you disperse it.
The Results: This is one of the products you need to use for a longer period of time to see results but just within a few weeks I can tell that area of my hair is a touch thicker. I’m really excited to see what my hair looks like after using it for the full 90 days.
GRO Scalp Detoxifying Serum
This was a product I didn’t know I needed in my life until I started using it. As I mentioned, I have super oily hair and when I saw that this helps with excess oil, I knew it would be a great product for me.
I use the Scalp Detoxifying Serum 1-2x a week, ideally when my hair is pretty dirty. I let it sit on my roots for a few minutes before getting in the shower to rinse it off and follow up with the shampoo and conditioner.
The Results: I’ve noticed my hair feels cleaner for longer after using this a few times a week. I’m excited to have found one of the missing pieces in my haircare routine.

Bonus Review – Vegamour GRO Lash Serum
I also received the GRO Lash Serum which I was super excited about because I use lash serums all the time, especially when my lashes are looking a little lackluster. I usually use lash serums that are full of chemicals, which has always made me a little concerned that I’m putting this stuff by my eyes.
Vegamour’s GRO lash serum is plant-based, hormone-free, and doesn’t contain any harsh chemicals so you can feel good about applying this to such a sensitive part of your face.
The Results: I do notice my lashes are longer and a thicker after a few weeks of using this product. Love it way more than the other lash serums I’ve used!
