If you’re a fellow makeup wearer, you’ve either used Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray or you’ve at least heard of it. It’s been a cult favorite in the beauty community for years because of its proven ability to make your makeup last all night long (hence the name). However, this product does come at a price, $33 to be exact. This is a steep price to pay for any makeup product, which is why I’m excited to bring you my ultimate guide on Urban Decay Setting Spray dupes.
$33 is a pretty penny to pay for a 4oz setting spray. It’s clearly worth the price for some people, especially because it’s incredibly long-lasting, easy-to-apply, and natural-looking. However, there are many Urban Decay Setting Spray dupes that perform the same exact functions (some even better). Keep reading to find the best setting spray t dupe for you.

Best Overall: NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray
Fun fact: I’ve been using the NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray for years as a dupe for Urban Decay All Nighter. A few years ago I purchase All Nighter and loved it, but wasn’t willing to consistently spend the money. So I’m here giving you first-hand testimony as to why NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray is the hands-down one of the best Urban Decay Setting Spray dupes.
Not only are you saving a ton of money with the NYX Matte Finishing Setting Spray (only $8.50) but I find that it keeps my makeup looking fresh just as long as Urban Decay All Nighter. For a drugstore brand with an incredibly low price, you can’t beat that.
About NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray
- $8.50 for 2.03 fl oz
- Lightweight & Comfortable
- Reduces Shine Throughout The Day
- Vegan Formula
Is NYX Setting Spray Good For Oily Skin?
Yes, yes, and yes! NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray is great for oily skin. I have combination skin and can be particularly oily a majority of the time (with certain dry patches). After applying this setting spray, it controls excess oil and shine on my face without enhancing any dry patches. Overall, it’s a 10/10.
Is Matte or Dewy Setting Spray Better?
NYX also offers a Dewy Finish Setting Spray. When it comes to which is better, it truly depends on your skin.
For oily skin, I find that the NYX Matte Finishing Setting Spray helps keep my excess oil at bay without making my skin look chalky or dry.
I have not tested the Dewy Setting Spray and likely will not simply due to my oily skin. However, if you’re looking for a little bit of an extra glow, I would definitely give the NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray a try. For only $8.50, it’s worth a shot!

Best Value For The Price: E.L.F. Stay All Night Micro-Fine Setting Mist
The best value for the price All Nighter Setting Spray dupe is the E.L.F. Stay All Night Micro-Fine Setting Mist. The reason why this setting spray is the best value for the price is that you get nearly 3oz of product for $10. With the other mentioned dupes (specifically the NYX and Milani setting spray mentioned below) you get roughly 2oz of product.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray will run you $33 for 4oz whereas E.L.F. Stay All Night Micro-Fine Setting Mist will run you $10 for 2.7 fl oz. Sure, you get a little less product than Urban Decay but you also pay less than 1/3 of the price.
The price is only half the reason why this setting spray is so good. It’s also infused with cucumber fruit extract, aloe, and green tea leaf extract to hydrate and smooth the skin without making you look oily. It keeps your makeup on for hours and has an ultra-fine mist pump for easy application.

Is E.L.F. Setting Spray Matte or Dewy?
E.L.F’s Stay All Night Setting Mist does not claim to be matte or dewy. However, it does hydrate the skin, giving an overall glowy look without looking oily. If you’re looking for a strictly matte setting spray, I recommend checking out the NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray instead.

Best All-In-One: Milani Make It Last Setting Spray
The best all-in-one All Nighter Setting Spray dupe is the Milani Make It Last Setting Spray. This is one of the best drugstore setting sprays because it primes, corrects, and sets your makeup all in one, depending on how you use it. This All Nighter Setting Spray dupe gives you a glowy finish without looking too oily and keeps your makeup in place no matter what climate you are in. The $10 price tag is just the cherry on top!
You can use Milani Make It Last Setting Spray either before applying your makeup as a primer or you can use it after to set your makeup. Or if you’re simply looking to enhance your skin on a makeup-less face, you can wear it alone for a natural finish.

How long does Milani setting Spray Last?
Milani Setting Spray lasts up to 16 hours, exactly the amount of time Urban Decay claims to last. I recommend setting your face first with some finishing powder (this $6 one is my favorite) before applying the setting spray to maximize longevity.
Is Milani Make It Last Setting Spray Matte?
Milani Make It Last Setting Spray does not claim to be matte. In fact, it does give a bit of a glowy look without looking oily, as I mentioned above. However, if you’re looking for a Milani matte setting spray, Milani sells Make It Last Matte Setting Spray which contains charcoal powder and silica to mattify skin. Or you can try them both by purchasing this set!

Best Ingredient Dupe: Skindinavia’s The Makeup Finishing Spray Oil Control
The best Urban Decay All Nighter dupe in regards to ingredients is Skindinavia’s The Makeup Finishing Spray. The reason why this setting spray is one of the best dupes is that it’s almost the exact thing. Yep, you read that right. Urban Decay’s All Nighter Setting Spray and Skindinavia’s The Makeup Finishing Spray are nearly identical.
How, you ask? Because Urban Decay’s Setting Spray is made in collaboration with Skindinavia. Just take a look at the back of your bottle if you own one and you will see the Skindinavia logo! Their ingredients are extremely similar, which is why it’s the best ingredient dupe.
With that being said, if you’re looking for an Urban Decay Setting Spray dupe to save a little bit of money, you won’t be saving a ton with this product. A 4oz bottle of Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray will run you $33 while a 4oz bottle of Skindinavia The Makeup finishing spray will run you about $29 (it is a little bit cheaper on Amazon). So if you’re simply looking to save a few bucks, this is a great setting spray for you but don’t expect to save a ton.
About Skindinavia The Makeup Finishing Spray
- $29 for 4oz or $39 for 8oz
- Temperature Control Technology
- Holds Up To 16 Hours
- Paraben-Free & Hypoallergenic
Is Skindinavia Setting Spray Waterproof?
The Skindinavia setting spray is not waterproof. I scoured the brand to find a waterproof setting spray option but came up empty-handed. So I definitely don’t recommend taking a dip in the pool or swimming in the ocean wearing this setting spray in the hopes that your makeup will remain flawless.
Is Skindinavia The Same As Urban Decay?
As I mentioned above, Urban Decay Setting Spray is made in collaboration with Skindinavia. While they aren’t the exact same, their ingredients are nearly identical, which is why this is one of the best Urban Day Setting Spray dupes.
