I recently cleaned out my bras and was in shock at how many I decided to get rid of. Many were old and lifeless and others simply weren’t my style anymore (frilly, underwire, and general discomfort). I donated a bunch and decided I needed a bra refresher. That’s when I started browsing Lively and decided to write this Lively bra review for you.
Lively is a bra brand that believes in making women feel sexy with high-quality, comfortable pieces. They decided to create a new category of lingerie which they call Leisurée. Pretty clever.
I decided to purchase some bras from Lively after my sister told me how much she loves them. She has been a fan for years so I scooped up a few and put them to the test.
Keep reading to see my mini Lively bra review for each style I purchased, along with answering your burning questions about the brand and their bras.
Also don’t forget to check out another review of my other other favorite bra brand, Pepper, here!
PS, I have a few updates below since publishing this article so keep an eye out for them!

Lively Bra Review
I browsed Lively for a bunch of different bras I was interested in and found 4 of the 5 listed below (one was gifted to me from Lively, I’ll let you know what one it is below).
A couple of things you should know about me before diving in. My top priority is comfort, I’m not really interested in uncomfortable, fancy bras. I like having a couple in stock, but I definitely gravitate towards bralettes over bras. Also, I either wear a size 34B or a size small, which was suggested to me based on Lively’s fit guide.
Now let’s get started.
Lively Seamless Racerback Bralette

This Seamless Racerback Bralette feels like a hybrid of a comfy bralette and sports bra (although I don’t recommend wearing this to the gym).
The material is incredibly soft and stretchy. It’s ribbed on the outside and on the inside it’s smooth and soft. No weird ribbed marks on your boobies! It also has a racerback, which is a design feature I always find very flattering and supportive.
My initial thought on this bralette is that it’s very comfortable, which is one of the most important factors for me when finding new bras. There’s no padding, clasps, or weird metal parts stabbing into me. All you do is slip this bad boy over your head and you’re set. That’s why it’s one of my favorites on this Lively bra review.
I’m a huge fan of the color, which is Toasted Almond. This bralette comes in 4 other colors, which you can check out here (I think I need to snag Sky Blue).
This style can also be purchased in a 2 pack ($70) or a 3 pack ($90) so you can save a bit of money. With the 3 pack, you basically get one bra for free! Plus there are a bunch of color options to choose from.
Update: This is hands down one of my most worn bras since purchasing Lively. It’s beyond comfortable and I have it in a few different colors (including Sky Blue I mentioned above). Cannot recommend it enough!
Price: $45
Overall rating: 10/10. No complaints whatsoever.

Lively Lace T-Shirt Bra

Disclaimer: This bra was gifted to me by Lively in exchange for some content for their Terracotta collection.
Update: please note this color and style is no longer available. However, I have some other great options for you below.
I didn’t choose the bra they sent me but I wasn’t disappointed with what I received. However, if I chose the bra myself, I would have chosen something without an underwire because I personally don’t vibe well with the underwire. Anyway, let’s get into the mini-review.
This Lace T-Shirt Bra is a gorgeous color and the lace detail is beautiful. The only thing that confuses me about this bra is why they call it a t-shirt bra when you can’t really wear lace under a t-shirt without it showing. Whatever! Maybe that doesn’t bother you. Just my opinion.
Update: Lively now makes the Smooth Lace T-Shirt Bra! It has lace details without any bumps or texture seen under tops. Check it out here!
This bra has a hook in the back and adjustable straps. You can also convert it to a racerback style if you want to!
Update: The color you see above is Terracotta. As mentioned, this color is no longer available. However, they do have this style available in their All-Day T-Shirt Bra. It’s the same exact thing as the bra seen above without the lace or color. They offer this style in neutral tones such as Heather Gray, Jet Black, and Toasted Almond. Check it out here!
2nd update: I ended up purchasing the All-Day T-Shirt Bra in black. It’s perfect for those days when I wear tops that require a bit more sculpting, Although I hate underwire, this one doesn’t jab into my ribs.
Price: $45
Overall rating: 6.5/10. Not a fan of the lace or underwire. But I know I’d like the All-Day T-Shirt Bra better, which you can shop below.

Lively Ribbed Scoop Back Bralette

Update: it looks like this bra is being discontinued as there’s only one color in stock now. I will keep this article updated with any new developments.
This Ribbed Scoop Back Bralette is like no other. It has removable padding in the front and a scoop back. It gives plenty of support and is probably one of the most comfortable bras I’ve ever tried on. I knew from the moment I put this bra on that it was a keeper.
This bralette is lined with the softest fabric so it feels like you’re wearing nothing. It’s also ribbed on the front fabric. One of my favorite parts of this bra is the U-shaped back silhouette and the supportive band underneath which sits just right without feeling too tight.
The only thing I’m not a huge fan of is the clasp in the back (I know, I’m picky). I stopped wearing clasped bras years ago because my back is a little sensitive. I had a big mark on my back from a clasp that took ages to go away. Sometimes when I wear a clasp bra it will make the mark appear again so I try to avoid them. I wore this bra the entire day a few times and didn’t have any issues so far, so we will see.
This bralette is in the color Harbor Green but only comes in Shell Pink at the time of this update, which you can check out here.
Price: $45
Overall rating: 8/10 I only wish it didn’t have a clasp and was just a pullover bralette.

Lively Mesh Trim Bralette

This Mesh Trim Bralette is one of the most beautifully designed bralettes ever. When I first saw it, I fell in love and when I put it on, I was not disappointed.
This is the perfect bralette for those who want the look and feel of a bra without all the padding or underwire. This bralette is the perfect combination of style and function. I’m obsessed with the mesh and the triangle-shaped cups. So cute!
I have two minor issues with this bra. First, it definitely doesn’t give a ton of support. That’s not something I care a ton about since my girls are on the smaller side. But everyone has their own personal preference. If you like to feel supported, I probably would not buy this bralette.
Second, there’s a seam on the front that is quite apparent if you’re wearing a tight shirt. It’s kind of an odd place for a seam and I wish they could get rid of it or place it somewhere a little less noticeable.
This bralette is in the color Toasted Almond. It comes in 6 other colors which are all earthy tones (my fav). You can check them out here.
Update: Still love this bra, it’s one of my favorites to wear with a loose t-shirt to avoid the seam showing. It’s very lightweight, and comfortable, with a bit of sexiness. Love it!
Price: $45
Overall rating: 8/10 I only wish the seam on the front wasn’t as visible.

Lively Unlined Ribbed Plunge Bra

Last but certainly not least, I purchased the Unlined Ribbed Plunge Bra. I purchased it in Jet Black since I bought the others in different colors and felt I needed a black color.
For the most part, I really like this bra. It has unpadded cups and the material is super soft. It’s lined with a soft mesh which I love and it morphs to your body perfectly. I love the plunging neckline because it’s so much more versatile for any tops that may need a bra like this.
I don’t have much to say about this bra because it’s so simple! The one thing that would make this bra better is if it were wireless. I don’t think I’ll wear this as much because of the wire. Although, for a bra with wire, it is quite comfortable. But regardless, it’s still super cute and looks amazing.
Price: $45
Overall rating: 9/10 would be 10/10 if there was no underwire

In General, Are Lively Bras Good?
Yes! Lively bras are more than good, they’re great (which I hope you learned reading my favorites in this Lively bra review!) There are some minor design flaws that I would personally change dependent on the bra but I know not all of my issues bother everyone else. Regardless of what you’re looking for, Lively definitely has something for you to try.
Do Lively Bras Run True To Size?
Lively bras do run true to size. But before you take that and run with it, I highly recommend checking out their size guide here before you purchase. This will give you the best guidance on what size you should purchase for which style.
If you are unsure and are between sizes, I recommend buying two sizes and returning whichever doesn’t work for you.
Are Lively Bras Comfortable?
Whether Lively bras are comfortable really depends on the style of the bra and also your personal preference. As you may know from reading this article, I prefer bras without underwire and without clasps in the back so in the future I will be ordering bras without those design features from Lively.
So, yes, Lively bras are comfortable. Some are definitely more comfortable than others but comfort is subjective.
Are Lively Bras Ethical?
It’s hard to say. Lively doesn’t explicitly say their ethical or sustainable initiatives throughout their website. They claim to extend their company values and standards to their factory, which they own. They also have eco-friendly options which you can shop here. Do with that what you will.
Where Are Lively Bras Sold?
You can purchase Lively right on their website here. You can also find them in Target which is super cool!
Let’s Wrap It Up
And that’s all, folks! I hope you enjoyed this Lively bra review. I enjoyed purchasing these items and reviewing them for you. Some were hits more than others, overall I do believe Lively is an awesome brand, and you definitely won’t regret purchasing some new bras from them.
There also sell a bunch of other products such as undies, loungewear, swimwear, and more! You can check that out here.
